Step one, select the folder you wish to change colour, right click the folder to open the options menu, find and click on properties command, step two, in the properties box, click the Customize tab, [arrowed 1] then click on change icon button, [arrowed 2], step three, in the next box, select the browse button, [arrowed browse for icons], the box in image four appears, [step 3, select icon, and click open] in the next box, [image 5, click apply] in the next box, [image 6 ] click OK, and finally in the remaining box, click apply, your done,

Recommendation:-

In practice, if you change an icon, [folder] [or others] outside the windows DLL32 system, it should be noted, the change will return to windows default, were it applies, if you later move the ICON source, [folder] to another location, this changes the file path,

So before you change folders or other icons, it is a good idea, to first locate your new icons folder to a systems point, I personally recommend to open “C” drive folder, and paste it here, for both updates, and a Source point, [file path point] were it is unlikely to be accidentally removed or changed, after this you can add any new icons, and changes will remain in place, furthermore, if you have more than one computer, and interchange data, put a copy if your new icons folder in “C” drive, to each computer, so all icon changes show correctly,
