Modern resize methods are now quite simple with modern software, most image editing will have a resize component, probably ACDSee is as simple as any, but any editor will do this, in principle, your average digital photo today will be over 1.5mbts, a bit large for e-mail, even by today’s standards, you need to abide by a standard size for e-mail, as being around  1024x768pxl, about 180kbts,

Most resize commands would be in your “image” menu, as resize, [downsize] or other expression, the option box may have a choice of methods, like mm/inch/pxl,  as well as percent or other choice like height, and width, any of these can be used as a means to size the image, more important though, is the need to preserve your original image, [file name] so once you have a resize, you should “save as” either to desktop, or same folder as origin, but be sure to change the file name, avoid save only, because once this is done, [as save] then closed, the origin file should be in the folder, as well as the new resize image, so again, pay attention to detail like after resize, put this new image into a new folder, with a new file name,

You will soon get the hang of it, mistakes will be made at the cost of original’s, this is how ever, part of the learning how to learn process, most serious mistakes are seldom forgot,
