go to start/ MENU
click RUN
in the run box type
MSCONFIG
CLICK OK
IN THE properties BOX,
CLICK ADVANCED,
THERE ARE SOME CHECK BOXES,
LOOK FOR:- DISABLE FAST SHUTDOWN
MAKE SURE ITS ACTIVE,[ enabled ] By checking the tick box.
CLICK OK to exit advanced settings box,, [back to the first box]
THE APPLY BUTTON SHOULD BE ACTIVE IN FIRST BOX, CLICK THIS AND OK,
you will be prompted to restart your computer for the change to take effect
Reboot,
SELECT SHUTDOWN IN THE BOX, AND OK
THIS SHOULD SORT IT OUT,
